Al-Didhan Reserve is a wildflower sanctuary named after the anemone flowers. The idea for the reserve originated when a father wanted to plant spring wildflowers for his mother to enjoy the beauty of spring. Initially, a 10,000-square-meter area was filled with wildflowers, attracting large crowds, with up to 2,000 cars and 5,000 visitors in one day.
This inspired the idea of setting up tents and involving local producers to share in the success. Four years later, the reserve now boasts over 200,000 square meters dedicated to planting wildflowers. It has been recognized as a tourist destination in Hail and added to the Spirit of Saudi Arabia app. The reserve has also received the Prince Abdulaziz bin Saad Award for Environmental Excellence and hosts various events that promote environmental sustainability.
